What must remain human-directed

Agency is not the number of options displayed by a tool. It is meaningful control over direction and consequences. A useful workflow makes decisions visible and leaves room to question the model, reject an output, and change the plan.

AI-first does not mean AI-authoritative

Delegate work deliberately, not responsibility by accident. Distinguish proposal, approval, implementation, review, and release. The assistant should make those boundaries easier to maintain, not obscure them behind automation.
